The man before them quivers, his body betraying false bravado even as he sits defiant of the pressure placed upon him. A better man would pity the cowering creature. Cillian is considerate only of his own exhaustion and his burning desire for a cigarette.[break][break]

And maybe a little considerate of Shred, as he wonders if the Beast is dying for a smoke as much as him.[break][break]

The underboss laughs at the question, the sharpness of the sound making their prey wince. It echoes unnaturally in the space.[break][break]

He reaches for the prisoner's hand as if to hold it, to console. Then the shadows turn his fingers to sharp claws that dig deep into the flesh of the man's palm.[break][break]

"Is the League worth dying for?"

As the Underbosses fingers turn to claws and shadows carve into the man's hands, you idly discard the bullet in your hand, tossing it over your shoulder and letting it bounce and clatter away. No point keeping it around. Not much of a threat anymore, is it? "I might shoot you". After all, from where he's sitting, that'd probably seem like a mercy.

Doesn't leave you with much to do, though, does it? Not that you're complaining. If you were the one with monster claws, he'd probably leave you to get down to business...

Cillian grips tighter for a moment as the man screams, then retracts his hand and leans back in his chair. Blood oozes from picked fingernails as well as the marks left by sharp shadows.[break][break]

He doesn't consider how frustrating or boring this was for Shred; he's too selfish for that.[break][break]

He does, at least, consider the temperature of the interrogation. It was a game of push and pull. They'd applied the pressure, and now Cillian toys with his knife as the pencil-pusher considers his options.[break][break]

"We don't have all day, you know." It's said conversationally, and Cillian doesn't look up from where he flips the blade around his fingers.

Not a lot can surprise a man as jaded as Cillian, but Shred's threat manages to startle a sharp laugh from the underboss. Their prisoner is far less amused, the last of the colour and fight seeming to drain from him as his hands rattle against the restraints in a vain attempt to shield his crotch.

Cillian jams the knife back into his belt with force; Shred's threat was more effective and more interesting, besides. He wonders if the Beast is bluffing, or if this is something he's done before.

But he doesn't ask, because the man before them starts talking. Nonsense, at first, shit they don't care about, but they're able to pry the information they need through further prodding.

"I'm sure your cooperation will be taken into account." Cillian's smile is cold. "I'll drop this off with Frost if you want to put him back in the cell."
